What if there was another way to meet your life?

Most of us are living from patterns we never consciously chose.

Through practical, embodied experiences, this work helps you become more aware of yourself, reconnect with what matters, and create more clarity, connection, and conscious choice in everyday life.

The Invisible Problem

Most of us are living from patterns we never consciously chose.

Every day, we make countless decisions, respond to situations, and move through life in ways that feel natural.

But much of what shapes those moments happens outside of our awareness.

Our experiences, beliefs, habits, expectations, and nervous system patterns quietly influence how we think, feel, and respond to the world around us.

Many of these patterns once served us well.

Some still do.

Others may no longer reflect who we are or how we want to live.

Yet because they’re familiar, we rarely stop to question them.

We simply continue.

Not because we’re doing anything wrong.

But because we can’t consciously choose what we haven’t first learned to see.

And if we can begin to see what’s been shaping our experience, new possibilities begin to emerge.

A Different Way

Creating space to notice.

If so much of our lives is shaped by patterns operating outside of our awareness, where do we begin?

Not by trying harder.

Not by becoming someone different.

But by creating enough space to notice.

Pause isn’t about doing nothing. It’s about creating enough space to see what has been running the show.

When we pause, even briefly, something begins to shift.

We become more aware of our thoughts, our breathing, our body, our emotions, and the patterns shaping our experience.

That awareness doesn’t immediately change everything.

But it creates something essential:

A little more space between what we’re experiencing and how we respond.

And in that space, conscious choice becomes possible.

The Breath: An Invitation Into the Work

Many of us spend our lives looking outside ourselves for answers.

Yet one of the most powerful places to begin has been with us all along.

Our breath.

Throughout my work, I use practical, embodied approaches—including the breath, body awareness, movement, nervous system education, and reflection—to help people move beyond understanding and into lived experience.

The breath is one of the most practical, accessible, and powerful ways I invite people into this work.

It asks nothing more than our attention.

It doesn’t ask us to become someone different.

Only to notice.

To slow down.

To become curious about what we’re experiencing in this moment.

Again and again, I’ve seen how something as simple as becoming aware of the breath can help people reconnect with themselves, create a little more space, and discover that they have more choice than they first imagined.

It’s not because the breath fixes us.

It’s because the breath helps us meet ourselves.

It becomes a place we can return to, again and again, as we learn to listen more closely to ourselves and meet life with greater awareness, presence, and conscious choice.

If you’ve found yourself thinking,

“Yes... this feels familiar.”

Then don’t worry about understanding everything at once.

Simply begin.

I created The Flourishing as the starting point for this work.

Not as something to complete.
But as something to experience.

Inside, you’ll find a practical introduction to Pause, Presence & Pleasure, along with simple practices designed to help you slow down, notice what’s been shaping your experience, and begin creating more awareness, clarity, connection, and conscious choice in everyday life.

You don’t need any previous experience.
Just a willingness to become a little more curious about yourself.

I hope it offers you a place to pause, to notice, and to begin exploring what becomes possible when you create a little more space for yourself.

It’s where I’d invite anyone to begin.

Ways We Can Work Together

Every journey looks a little different.

There isn’t one path into this work.

Some people prefer to begin quietly, exploring ideas and practices in their own time.

Others are looking for the support of a structured program, the personal guidance of one-to-one sessions, or the depth of an immersive retreat.

Wherever you find yourself today, you’re welcome here.

I’d like more structure and support.

Join a program designed to help you develop practical skills and integrate this work into your daily life.

Why This Work

Marilyn smiling up at pink calliandra flowers in bloom

For many years, I thought dance and the work I do today belonged to two different chapters of my life.

Looking back, I can see they were never separate.

Long before I knew words like awareness, presence, or nervous system regulation, I was already discovering something came alive when I moved.

Years later, breathwork didn’t take me in a new direction.

It helped me understand what dance had been teaching me all along.

Looking back, I don’t think I’ve spent my life learning different things. I’ve been exploring the same question through different doors.

Today, that exploration is at the heart of everything I share.
